CATEGORIES

The Shannons Adelaide Rally consists of multiple competitive and non-competitive categories, which will be as per the following:

Prima Tour.jpg

prima tour - $645

The Shannons Prima Tour follows the first stages of the Friday. This is the event for you if you want to have a great day out on the roads without competition pressure before a long table lunch. Closed roads are travelled at up to 100km/h, with the freedom to use both sides of the road. Additional cost for Motorsport Australia Speed License.

main tour - $2895

The category is non-competitive and untimed. Run on the same course and including the same activities as the main competition. Vehicles will be limited to 100km/h whilst on all closed road stages. All vehicles in this category will be speed monitored. Entry is open to modern and classic cars with current registration. The Main Tour incorporates various brand tour groups. 

Spirit

SPIRIT TOUR - $3195

The category is non-competitive and untimed. Vehicles will follow the same course and include the same activities as the main competition. Vehicles will be limited to 120km/h whilst on closed road stages. Crew must wear helmets approved by Motorsport Australia when undertaking any closed road section. All vehicles in this category will be monitored by Rallysafe.

CHALLENGE - $3995 

Based on the same year of build and rules as the Competition category but with additional  freedoms in respect to turbochargers and modifications and simplified full-roll cage requirements . There is a 130km/h speed limit on all closed road stages. Challenge participants will follow the same course and include the same activities as the Competition category.  Awards for first to third. Fastest time wins.

COMPETITION - $4595

Vehicles will be limited to 200km/h whilst on closed road stages, with driver skill and mechanical performance determining the winners. No handicap system will be used, with two sub-categories of classic (1st January 1900 to 1st January 1986) and modern (1st January 1986 to current). Awards for 1st -3rd . Fastest time wins.

RALLY PRO - POA

Exclusively for FIA Rally 2, FIA Super 2000 and Group AP4 spec vehicles. Vehicles will be limited to 200km/h whilst on closed road stages, with driver skill and mechanical performance determining the winners. Awards for 1st -3rd . Fastest time wins.
