Join team adelaide rally

Each year the Shannons Adelaide Rally gathers an army of more than 350 volunteer officials who keep the event running smoothly. Registrations are open now for the 2025 event (November 21 to 23) below. 

Officials get an insider’s perspective of one of the largest tarmac rally events in the world. 

See the action up close and play a vital role in this iconic event, with opportunities to progress as a motorsport official.

We’ll provide training and accreditation, plus all volunteers get goodie bags including an event t-shirt and more. 

We need people for roles including:

Road Closure Official 
A super important role. Keep the road closed, keep everyone safe – great spectating.

Control Official 
Another key role. Get cars into right order, release at intervals as directed – see cars up very close.

Spectator Marshal 
Set up an area as instructed, keep spectators safe, answer questions, hand out information – cool viewing positions.

Parking Marshal 
Assist at street parties, lunch breaks and the like by keeping the competitor cars correctly parked. 

Service Park 
Work directly with the competitors, ensure an orderly area and start for the event to work well – great access to cars and people.
